From Magda in Venezia, Day Four

I’ve discovered that knitting and drinking can be a lovely combo… Especially when it involves Venice and a spritz. The “spritz” was invented in this town and is quite refreshing….if you like bitters. It is a combination of white wine, soda, and Campari with an olive.

I have to share a few other favorite places I’ve found on this trip. This fruit and vegetable stand traveled on the water, reminding me of the taco buses at home in Austin.

This statue faces a canal in front of a museum redesigned by Tadao Ando, one of my favorite architects in the world. The space on the right is called SALE. It was a salt factory at one time. It was so huge. The vast and beautiful space was given to a young art collective to curate shows.

Lastly, I leave you with party pics….I did not know any of these people before (except Lorenza and Fabrizio, CIAO!!), but I feel I have made friends that I now cherish. I love Italy, and I think I left a little of my heart there.

Tanti baci amore mio.
